A woman, Akarigbo Victoria was charged to court after stabbing her neighbour with a broken bottle.
Eye witnesses made it clear that the lady (Mrs Esther Favour)was stabbed simply for taunting her about her broken marriage. The incident occurred at 6, Musa close, Abue Odu, Idimu, Lagos state.
According to P.M Express, the woman was sent back to her parents with her three children after she had a heated argument with her husband. She moved in with her parents where she stays brooding all day. She got into a fight with another lady, Mrs Esther who also stays in the compound.
In the course of their fight, the lady made jest of her broken marriage, saying she wasn't a responsible wife and that was why her marriage failed. In anger, Victoria took a bottle and stabbed her at the back. Esther sustained serious injury and had to be rushed to the hospital, The matter was later reported to the Idimu police division. Victoria was arrested and charged to court. She was later arraigned before Magistrate A.K Shonubi at the Isolo Magistrate court.
She pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum. She is currently in Kirikiri prison until she perfects her bail conditions.
